Barefoot Trainer's Ashiatsu

The Best & The Most Affordable Ashiatsu Training - NCBTMB & NYS Approved Provider #993

ASHIATSU BAR utilizes parallel overhead bars to perform therapeutic massage using the feet. The bars provide support, balance and leverage when performing Ashiatsu techniques. This makes it easier to use your body weight and movement along with gravity to apply pressure through the feet. Ashiatsu Bars allow you to stand tall, strengthen your body, improve your posture, and help control the pressure you apply while providing clients with deep muscle tension relief and relaxation. The pressure is applied using the entire sole of the foot. You use the heels, arches, balls of the feet, outer and inner edges of the foot, and the toes to massage client’s bodies. Clients don’t experience the painful poking massage techniques performed with regular deep tissue massage using the hands, knuckles, forearms and elbows.

The pressure you can apply can be as light as Swedish massage or the deepest pressure you could ever apply.

Barefoot Trainer’s Ashiatsu® offers both live and eLearning Ashiatsu Bar programs. There are 3 progressive levels of training and certification - beginner, intermediate, and advanced. The programs are designed to be completed in order. Attempting to do them out of order will only slow your learning.

The beginner Level 1 program builds your foundation and in my opinion, it’s the most important level of your Ashiatsu Bar training. It introduces you to Ashiatsu covering everything from its history and marketing methods to proper movement, body mechanics, how to warm your feet and more. You learn a full body Ashiatsu Bar routine including both seated and standing techniques. Included with the 2-day live Level 1 - Ashiatsu Bar class, students complete the Introduction to Ashiatsu Bar eLearning program before their first day of class. This introduction program prepares students for class, students perform better in class, and students are able to add Ashiatsu into their services sooner after class.

Students learn how to give a full body massage & experience absolutely ZERO fatigue and ZERO wear & tear on your body.

And this is true no matter how many massages you do in a day, week, month, year, and over your ENTIRE CAREER.

Intermediate Level 2 - Ashiatsu Bar strokes are similar to beginner Level 1 strokes in that one foot is used to massage the client’s body while the other is standing on the table. Level 2 strokes however require a higher level of skill and full body coordination to perform. This is why completing the Level 1 training before starting the Level 2 is essential. Level 2 turns Ashiatsu into more of a flowing dance whereas Level 1 teaches you simpler flowing Ashiatsu movements. It’s these simpler movements that develop your foundation to then build from.

The advanced Level - 3 Ashiatsu Bar program teaches 2-footed Ashiatsu strokes where both feet are on the client’s body. You must have highly developed Ashiatsu skills and a certain level of strength to be able to SAFELY perform advanced Ashiatsu. A lot of strength isn’t needed to perform advanced Ashiatsu strokes but a certain level of strength is needed for client safety. Preparation for advanced Ashiatsu starts in the Level 1 program and continues through Level 2.

The Level 1 program includes Follow Along Ashiatsu Workout routines to assist you in developing your Ashiatsu Strength quicker, properly, and more efficiently.
